Just about to refit the trim strip below the doors on my early plus 2. Can anyone provide the distance below the door opening that the trim should be, all the holes on mine got filled in when it was resprayed. Also what should be in the end of these trim pieces, anything or just open? It’s probably in here somewhere if you stumble on the right search term but I didn’t find this info.
Thanks in anticipation.

On my car the strip top is ~3/8" below the door opening. Screw holes are ~7/8"down from door opening.
10 holes total, spaced at 7 1/4" +/-1/4". End holes are ~2" in from wheel attached.
The end of the strip has just black plastic/rubber on it, level with the end.
(My car is missing a strip so ready to measure both the strip and screw holes.)

Thanks, that gives me something to do on a damp miserable lockdown day!
