Frame number

Anyone know where to look for an original 130S chassis number on the chassis itself.? Or do they have one. Is the original '73 chassis, not a replacement. Cheers

On the chassis rail below the carbs, horizontal surface. You’ll need a rag to clean it up, a torch to see it and long bendy arms.

My 72 is the same as John's. Stamped on top of the left side of the frame rail just aft of the exhaust pipes.

Cheers all, found the number. apparently it must just be the last four digits and the 'L' denoting a 130S that Lotus put on the frame. All sorted. Going to Ireland and they are a bit fussy about vin and chassis matching. Good job it is the original '73 frame and not a shiny new Spyder with no number on, as they won't accept that and car has to be re-registered as a 'built or kit car'. Thanks again, Rob :D
