Early Plus 2 door cards.

I have sourced here the exact same vinyl as was used on my 1968 Plus 2 and I obtained from Woollies
the exact basketweave used in panels in the seat and door cards.
However, it is welded into the panels; I will attach a photo.
The old panels of basketweave cannot be incorporated in the new cards.
Does any one know who can reproduce the original look of the panels of basketweave for me in a straight run so I can get enough for the two doors?
complete the two cards?

p.s. It seems that no one in Australia is able to weld, heat treat or whatever the basketweave vinyl to give the original effect.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to a likely UK firm?

Just went and looked at my door and I replaced the carpeted part of mine and I was able to wrap around that bottom edge of the basket weave section and hide the seam where it butts to the carpet and I?m just wondering if there wouldn?t be a way to roll around the edge of the smooth vinyl coming from the top to meet the lightly rolled basket weave edge and glue all of it to a common panel that would keep things from moving around and maintain the common edge, good luck Gordon Sauer

I would have thought with some experimentation you'd be able to work the welding out. Heat a bit of steel flat in the oven or similar and clamp the basket weave to some vinyl and see if you can replicate it.
If it was me I'd just sew it on...
