Plus 2 underdash trim

Thought I?d share some pictures of the underdash trim on my +2. The driver?s side trims are in bad shape. All the white plastic is cracked and the panels are a bit floppy. The means by which they are affixed is poorly thought out, it?s basically a factory bodge and I can improve on it. Here?s how.

Trying to glue the vinyl back down

Fibreglass reinforcement (red), aluminium strip as a brace (green)

Strengthening the left hand crash pad with fibreglass

Same on the right hand crash pad

Aluminium step bracket affixed to rear of dash. This prevents the crash pad sagging when the lower trim is fitted.


All this may or may not work. I?ll let you know.
