New Plus 2 centre console

As some of you know, Famous Frank has been working on making new Plus 2 centre consoles available. Since we live in the same metropolitan area and my console was out of the car and in mostly good condition, I loaned it to Frank to be the template from which a vacuum-form could be made. It's been a very long and exhausting process for Frank, but I am pleased to say that today he presented me with the very first console produced. I am astonished at how good looking it is! Not that my original one is bad looking, but it of course shows its age with a crack, a little wavyness, etc., and this new one looks very straight and fresh and as perfect as I could imagine a new one being!
We gave it a test-fit. As there is no hole cut for the shift lever and the threaded stub and ball were in the way, it couldn't sit all the way down in place at the front end, but allowing for that it looked like a great fit.
With this result, Frank says he'll pull the trigger on the first production run. If you like what you see, get in touch with Frank and let him know that you want one!

Great job Ben & Frank!
I am assuming Frank will be leaving the consoles untrimmed. My original has two small cutouts to accommodate the rear seatbelt mounts that the user could easily do when installing.
Really like the solid fill around the shifter; I had to add a small fill piece to the square hole to accommodate an aftermarket shift boot when I installed my MT75 five speed. Leaving the hole uncut would actually make this process easier.
Thanks to you guys for sticking with it.

Yes, untrimmed is the plan. Since not all 50-year-old cars fit together exactly identically, leaving the consoles untrimmed is ideal because then you can trim to fit your car's variances. Of course it also keeps the costs down a little bit too.
