Hi all,
could anyone please supply me a quick sketch with dimensions of the small bracket which is attached to the boot hinge and operates the boot courtesy lamp.
With many thanks, regards to all, George.

Hi George,
I think this is the Part you mean.
Technically, it's not attached to the Boot Hinge, it's Welded to
a Metal Stand Off on the Rear upper cross-member.
If this is the part you mean and you need more Photo's, let me know,
otherwise please find a rough Sketch. Not my best Technical Drawing
but should suffice.
Regards
Ian

Actually . . . the switch includes a "ramp" made of folded strap steel, which is bolted to the boot lid via the hinge fasteners. Not shown on Ian's pic and diagram. This is what pushes down on the electrical switch.
RD Enterprizes (rdent.com) has the parts manual online, but I don't see the switch shown. It is carefully illustrated in the factory workshop manual (because they were correcting the orientation of said "ramp"). I don't have the manual page at hand, but if/when I do, I'll try to post it.

Amazing,
When I first replied to George, I had no idea I was actually
missing a part on my +2 myself!
Turns out, I don't have this piece bolted to the hinge Bracket
and I never noticed as my Switch isn't wired in and there is
no interior Light fitted in the Boot. So I never looked.
I would not have known if it wasn't for this Thread, so thanks.
At the risk of hijacking this thread, since this subject has been raised,
could somebody post a picture of the Lamp and where it is supposed
to be fitted?
I think I have another Job to add to the list.

George- Did you get enough info to answer you question? Here are a couple of photos of the actuator that mounts to the boot hinge studs.
Ian- the lamp mounts in the middle of the tubular brace that helps support the body work between the boot lid and the rear screen. It's under the carpet at the front of the boot. Here's the light. Not great pics, but you get the idea.
It really isn't obvious unless it's working in the dark or you're looking for it.

Many thanks to all for your help. Bud you are a star and I can now construct the missing bracket with ease.
With my very best regards, George.

If it is, Randy, it's no wonder they're looking for them. It's pretty flimsy. There's a fine line between cleaning it up and destroying it accidentally.
...and if it is, I've got one for sale!

Yup. I thought of it as "cute"; almost like it came from a toy car or miniature. But I guess that was the point for Lotus. Keep it small, simple, light. Funny how different some of these parts are to their North American counterparts.
Hope you're well, Bud. Running my car in the driveway as I finish a few pieces in the interior. Have to send pix of the completed car to the guber-ment so I can get collector plates and insurance.

Likewise Bud,
Many thanks for the excellent Photo of the Ramp piece.
Should be fairly simple to knock one of those up.
As I said earlier, a part I didn't even know I had missing!
Don't think I will worry to much about originally as far as the
Lamp goes, but I will try to source something similar.
I'm fired up now to fix that Boot (Trunk) Lamp!
