As per your sketch.........
Make sure the cup washers are located properly in the hole in the roll bar before you tighten up the nut

Thanks Roger
The anti roll bar also seems tight longitudinally. Position the hole on one shock absorber correctly and the other is half a hole too wide.
Is it permissible to clamp across the bar to pull it in line?

Yes this seems normal I just refitted mine and had to lean into it a bit to get the ends fitted. If suspension on full droop, I guess the two mounts are a bit closer, having gone part way through an arc

A small ratchet strap is ideal to pull the bar ends in or just a loop of rope with a piece of wood to wind it in tourniquet fashion - you can wedge it behind the front crossmember so you have both hands free to juggle the cup washers into place.

Thanks Chaps.
You wouldnt like to pop araound and help me put this thing together would you? Stay on line!
Heres another one....Whats the best way to set the front tracking initially? Rolling chassis at the moment, all front suspension assembled. I guess that it will have to go to tyre fitters to finalise, but I just want to get it as near as possible beforehand.
Thanks
Bob

The best bet for initial tracking setting (in my opinion) is to use a straight edge (string, bar or line of sight) from the rear wheels to the front...
