Door Trims

PostPost by: gav » Sun Nov 06, 2005 9:26 pm

Hi,
I've been tracking the forum for a while but this is my first post.
I have a Sprint which is nearly back on the road after a somewhat comprehensive chassis change (actually a rebuild).
I know my strengths and weaknesses and I'm just about to embark on one of my weaker areas - trimming.
I have the original door cards (grp) and I have a retrim kit but I'm on the verge of bottling out...
How easy is the job for a trimming novice and is anyone able to recommend a specialist if it is a tricky job?
Many thanks
Gavin

Ive got an offer for you...........

Iv got a pair of really good condition sprint door cards, but they have speakers in them, so i was going to buy a retrim kit. If you were going to fit speakers anyway, would you like to do a swap for my ready to fit doorcards?

Hi Wild Oliver
Are your trims original or have they been re covered in the recent past.
I found that the originl foam was friable which prompted the exercise.
I could be pursuaded if the retrim was recent.
Thanks

That I don't know, but certainly they are in good condition, no crumbling foam here!

But to be fair they are not new trims and they don't look new, If i stuck them on ebay I would describe them as excellent condition original trims.
