Removing windshield scratches

My S4 windshield ended up with fine scratches after I had some grit caught in the cleaning cloth. Any advice how to fix this problem besides a new windshield?

I've used Rain-X for years on my +2 that could stand a replacement glass. It's good for "disappearing" minor scratches and chips. If you can feel your scratches with your fingernail, some polishing will be needed. I suggest you take it to a decent windshield store and quiz them.

Jaguar dealers use a paste on the windscreen at each service to polish out fine scratches maybe worth a phone call

Don't know if you've sorted your scratches out yet but FROST do a very good kit to remove scratches from your windscreen. Costs about ?20 it consists of a powder you make into a paste and a polishing attachment for an electric drill. Takes a bit of time but works well.
