Windscreen delamination

I have a NOS windscreen for my S3. It's in Exc. shape other than two places around the edge each with about a 3" patch of delamination. These areas I can live with if they don't enlarge.
Does anyone have experience with delamination, and does it get worse? Apparantly this is one of the windscreens that were shipped from England years ago in this condition and the area hasn't yet enlarged. It has never been installed.
Thanks in advance and Happy Motoring

I have a S2 with a windscreen that is delaminated on the right hand edge, its been in the Elan for 8 years and 5000 mile and it hasn't gotten any worse, its getting somewhat pitted and I would like to change it out only for that reason.

In my experience it doesn't usually spread very quickly.
It would be worth ensuring that the edge is sealed before you fit it to prevent and further problems such as fogging due to water/damp ingress.
