Cantrail Storage

Has anyone figured out how to properly use the rubber straps to store the cantrails in the boot? Would you be so kind as to take some pictures of the cantrails secured in the boot and post them in galleries. Thanks!
Where I'm going with this is my brother showed me his new storage bag for stowing the top on his Super7. This bag fastens onto the rollbar, just behind it with velcro straps. This leaves the boot uncluttered for carrying luggage. If I can stow the cantrails okay then I'm going to have a similiar customized bag made up for my Elan. When I get this all done I'll post a picture. It's a really slick setup to maximize what little storage capacity there is.

Modifying the two steel bows will make them a lot easier to stow away too. Going to split them apart in the middle and make up simple male/female connectors to make them function again structurally. Having to leave the top behind all the time because there's no room sucks.
Were there originally fittings in the boot for the cantrail pins that fasten onto the windshield to engage and help stow them in place under the recessed area of the boot hinges? I can't remember back that far. It's been almost fifteen years ago that I did the frame off restoration.

Keith,
I've never figured out how to stow the cant rails but the 2 hood frame (bows) store behind the support for the boot lock, unclip the rod, store the rails and refit rod.
There was a thread on stowing the cant rails a while ago on the Yahoo mailing list, the procedure was discribed but I didn't take much notice
