I know this has been asked before, and I did do a search first! (so sorry in advance!) but from what I could find/research it wasnt very clear what the screen is on a +2.
Is it a Mk1 Capri...
or a Consul/Classic Capri?
I need to get this right because I am going to buy and fit myself.
Cheers

your local Autoglass should have the screen in stock, I ordered a green screen with a green top tint for my previous plus 2 and it arrived next day, cost me ?25 on the insurance! the fitter fitted the new trim as well, but it still leaked. It carries the same part number for the scimitar coupe (se4?) I believe and the classic capri, the price wasn't loaded because it was going into a Lotus.
They will do 'supply only' and even fit later as well, just chat to the branch manager. Helpfull guys in my experience. I have through work (sales rep) had several screens fitted in several different depots and the service seems consistant
hope this helps

For a little US perspective in widscreen availability - I called 8 different auto glass shops here in California for one for my Elan. Was quoted $800 by one, got no response from 3, and the others told me I'd have to buy it myself and they'd install. They suggested eBay... not terribly helpful.
In my neck of the woods, it looks like JAE or Bean are the only available suppliers, no?
Cheers to all,
Greg

UK price for a plus 2 screen is around ?150 stirling, if packaged in a plywood crate shipping couldnt be much more than ?100 stirling
alternately get a group together and buy a large number of screens (ten or so) and have them crated and shipped. If you need help to crate these up I dont mind helping out. you can arrange the shipping from your end.
Let me know

Is there a difference between the early screen that fits with a rubber seal and the later one that is bonded in place? I think that the difference is the lip size of the windscreen surround of the fibreglass shell, and I can't see Lotus forking out to have a different size windscreen made, but it may just be worth checking out.
