Does anybody know what the S3 boot lock handle came off. There is a blank in the R&R book.

This probably won't help your cause, but I'm pretty sure they were designed specifically for the Elite (type 14) and were fitted to early Plus 2 cars as well. I've only seen one on ebay, and that went for ?50 or so....I guess that they are very hard to get hold of.
It may be worth trying Miles Wilkens of Fibreglass Services...he has restored many Elites over the years and has had a lot of bits re-made for them.

For the Elite part you could also try David Mousley at

Mk 14 Components Ltd
Perrin Springs
Perrin Springs Lane
Frieth
Henley on Thames
RG9 6RB

From their 2005 catalogue

Part number BT030 Boot Lock Handle & Lock ?19.03
The catalogue says "similar to Elan, not quite original"

I believe that the S3 boot handle came from one of the Reliant 3 wheeler range.

Try a company called Weston Body Hardware

http://www.wbh.co.uk

They do a huge range of chrome parts. According to book by Robinshaw & Ross the L shaped boot handle came from the Reliant van.
