Federal 70 Plus 2 - LHD - no glove box in dash!

Unrestored +2 -(new to this Canadian) has no glove box. All manuals/articles I've seen show a glove box. This model appears to be all original eqmt, intact by and large but the fascia is solid and apparently unaltered from day 1 out of Norwich. Confusing to me; any ideas?

Sorry but I've never heard of a plus 2 dash without a glove box
but why dont you add a picture to show us

Is the dash out of the car? I do not think it is possible to know with much certainty if the dash is original Lotus equipment unless you can inspect the back side. Among other details, the factory had a unique method of cutting and shapeing the reliefs for the various switches and gauges.
