This may seem stupid but how does the bonnet release cable mechanism work. I may be dumb but for the life of me I can't figure out how pulling on a cable inner with a fixed end pulls back the two bonnet spring clips. And dont please say by pulling it.
thanks

The inner cable is longer than the outer sheath, one end of the inner cable has the pull handle on it and the other end is fixed to the body shell through one of the two bonnet clips. The outer sheath is fixed at each end to the bonnet clips. When you pull the inner cable the outer sheath comes towards you and releases the two clips.
Hope that helps.
