In 2017 Nick built a 1680cc 711 block twin cam for my fast road/hill climb Elan.
I chose this set up for the combination of power and torque plus the square caps are good for c7000 rpm.
It ran at 147bhp (6400rpm) and 137 lb-ft torque (5000rpm) on 420 cams and has been a great all round engine.
I have now gone to a standard 1600cc set up ahead of using the car for circuit racing so the main parts of the short engine are for sale as follows:-
- 711M engine block bored at +20 giving 1680cc, decked by c0.2"
- set of Powermax twin cam pistons and 1600 cross flow con rods
- Cross flow crank
- spacer plate
On stripping the engine we found everything in good condition. Piston No1 has some pick up marks as does the bore so either a bore hone and 1 new piston or re-bore to higher capacity is required.
Lots of photos attached, I have others too.
Happy to answer any questions and provide further information.
Looking for £695, buyer collects from Worcestershire.
Thanks
David
