Twink Fest !

Along with the 711M Twin Cam I have advertised , I really ought to rehome some , or all of the following spares that I have ;-

Nice 681 bare L Block rebored to +20" in original liners by QED ... very low miles just needs a light hone ( as checked by Nick Stagg ) - £650 .

Rare Escort Twin Cam bare L block ( rear dipstick housing ) but can be used in elan etc., ... benefits from steel main caps but will need liners - cheap at £350 !

Beautiful 681 Mk 2 Lotus Cortina Twin Cam Engine ... can be test driven as it`s currently in my Sprint & I`m reluctant to take it out ( it`s that nice ! ) ... but really needs to go back in a Lotus Cortina - Offers !

Nice pair ( front & back ) of early front covers from Nick Stagg - £225 .

Nice early Cam Cover ( Lotus on both banks ) - £275 .

QED Q420 Spec` Twin Cam Fast Road Engine with QED Steel Crank , recently rebuilt & dyno`d by Nick Stagg at 146bhp , with new Burton Front Cover , still on stands ready to fit - Offers !

If anyone has a genuine need for any of the above , feel free to get in touch :-) .

Hi Paul,

I have an escort twin Cam block and need to covert it for standard Elan fitment.
Question; Can I just block off the rear dipstick hole and open a dipstick hole in the front ?

Thanks

Yes just need to plug the orignal dip stick tube hole and drill a hole in the front cover if it does not already have one to fit the dip stick tube. Need a front bowl 6 bolt sump also if you dont have one
cheers

Hi Rohan,

Thanks for your advice.
I'll check that out later to see if there is a hole or a blanked off hole in the front part to convert it.
Yes, I have the sump and crankshaft etc
