For Sale:
NEW Electronic Lucas style distributor kit road\rally type: Ford X\Flow, pre-X\Flow OHV Kent, Lotus Twin Cam & BDA, Burton Power FP299K.
See https://www.burtonpower.com/x-flow-elec ... p299k.html
Bought for a Caterham Ford Kent X/Flow. it fouls on the intake runner.
This from the Caterham Assembly Guide:
"It should be noted that the inlet manifold used by Caterham in order to fit Weber DCOE carburetors is specially manufactured to position the air filters correctly in the bonnet aperture without offsetting them so far as to cause clearance problems to the inside of the front wing.
Customers should note that the use of an alternative manifold may cause problems."
If you buy this from Burton, with shipping the cost is almost $400 USD, yours for $300+frt

Which dizzy cap do you have? The side entry cap may clear the manifold.
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.

The cap is side entry, per the Burton Power picture. Thanks for the idea, however. I should emphasize the sale is for the road/rally distributor, including the side-entry cap, and the coil. Here is Burton's complete description:
Constant energy non-vacuum type. Supplied with side entry cap. Road/rally spec. Approx.static ignition timing: 14deg.BTDC.
These kits use a Lucas style electronic type distributor. They are fitted with an integral electronic ignition module. Each distributor has a modified advance curve to suit fast road/rally specification and is non-vacuum. The kit is supplied complete with constant energy coil. Where using on vehicles fitted with a ballast resistor, the ballast must be by-passed to provide 12v at the coil. The kits are supplied with a side-entry cap.
