Dear All
A few posts recently about adjustable brake rods prompted me to have a go to replace my home-made fixed stainless items,so here it is...
Two lengths of M6 stainless screwed rod ( ended up as 19" and 16.5" ) ,four stainless locknuts,a couple of M6 clevises and a couple of M8 clevises, these fit the brake calipers if you remove the bush ( X026J0015Z ),no problem there then but the handbrake tree had to be drilled out to M6 ( this was home-made years ago to increase the leverage )
Photos...
Tree before ( helps to have an access hole)
R/H Handbrake before
M8 Clevis on operating lever
Rods compare
R/H Handbrake after
Tree after
And fully operated
clearing the diff case...
All for about ?30.00
Thanks to Jason1 for some measurements
