Filler neck too high

PostPost by: gino1 » Wed Sep 17, 2014 1:36 pm

Hi,

I'm having some trouble with the height of the filler neck of the header tank as it's hitting the underside of the bonnet.
Anyone else had this experience ??
i bought this header tank off a fellow member and am now thinking the height may be different to the one Pat Thomas makes..
Anyone got the dimensions of Keveldon's...??

Thanks
Gino

Will it fit better the other way round?

Hi Jon,

Tried that but same conclusion.
I'm thinking that I may need to lower the radiator a tad and turn the header tank the other way around.
I have maybe 1/2" to play with...
Thanks
Gino
