There have been various discussions on other Forums regarding "Superlite" it would seem that the Genuine product is only sold by Superlite Australia it would seem that the wheels supplied by the above company were Far Eastern copies of a much lower quality !!

Actually, Superlite is a (proud) English company.

Superlite Wheels Limited, 104 - 106 Tredworth Road, Gloucester. GL14QY. UK

See:

http://www.superlite-wheels.com/

And, you are correct, they do not do knock on wheels, only bolt on, except they have racing center lock magnesium wheels.

You are correct a "Proud English Company" selling "Quality" Far Eastern products, like 99% of our once proud manufacturing industry.

All I was trying to find out was if anyone had used them as they were not answering phone and email.
I had ordered 26R 5 peg drive wheels from Kelsport but having waited 2 months and no sign of them still I was looking at options.
The 26R wheel they (Superlite UK) do looks okay and I am guessing there is not more than one place casting these and realistically what doesn't come from Asia these days.
I have spoken to Superlite in Australia (separate company) but they nolonger do any knock on wheels

worth a try?? Cast & machined in the UK. Is that a good thing?

I seem to recall a tie-up between Spyder & these people, but may be still worth an email.

Gav,

I have the bill somewhere but I seem to recall they worked out at around ?125 per wheel including the 'theft'

At the time they were pushing the product at the NEC classic car show and I ordered them there. I got them black with a polished highlight rim as a nod to the original black and chrome steel wheels.

I got 5.5 x 14 and I think they look great. I wanted them to still look fairly skinny and with 175 x 70 Pirelli P3 tyres I am very pleased with the result. (see my other thread with photos)

I have done the narrow spring conversion - not sure if the would fit under standard springs?
