Not exactly. That assumes complete heat transfer. The fluids spend a certain time in the respective heat exchangers and the efficiency of heat transfer along with the size of the heat exchanger and the flow rate will dictate the delta temp. Depending on inlet temperature, flow rate and exchanger sizes, the oil can be made to run significantly hotter than the coolant (I can't think of any advantage for the inverse, i.e. coolant hotter than oil). Properly spec'd you can theoretically run optimum oil and coolant temperatures and they're not likely to be equal!

Evans announced this on Radio 2 this morning.

I wonder if it's true? I billion!! ...

Reminds me of the time I was a supporter of a group of enthusiasts called the strathallan aircraft appreciation society. Owned by a local bigwig come Lord..who shall remain nameless. He built up a collection and used volunteer labor to get a lot of the aircraft into flying condition or in fact completely restored. Some great airplanes too. Vampire! and Lancaster among them.. All went well until he needed some dosh for his lifestyle choices, so he just sold up. Made a lot of money too. All on the back of the volunteers who did the work on the aircraft for the love of it.

The airfield is still in use dropping parachutists etc but the SAAS is no more... There were many very unhappy people when that happened. I went to watch the Lancaster and Vampire departing for the last time.. One very unhappy chappy.

Leno up to the same thing? Allegedly!

This made me run a Google search and I turned up precisely one hit in a blog dated 1 April 2012. And the first of April is what day?

Update 9 just posted here: http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/segment/restoration-blog/restoration-blog-1966-lotus-elan-26r-update-9/index.shtml

Jim seems a bit cynical about the original workmanship. I wonder what his budget in time and dollars might be compared to Colin's :D

They seem to be picking up steam and expect to be a running chassis soon and a finished car not long after.

I strongly suspect that the "original" brake lines that Jim disparages were the work of a DPO and not the factory.

Update 10 is here. And, yes I know Gary has already posted the update but I thought they should all be in one place so years from now if anyone cares there is a full set progression.

Not sure if this link is somewhere in this thread or not. I had missed this longer video which covers Jay's more stock Elan driver before he started the project car. Makes a nice intro to the car, Looks like he fits OK in the driving sequences!
