well speed shifting is not good for these gear boxes ----the forks bend so take time to enjoy each shift or find an other box ---ed

Its not for shifting quickly , its for reducing gearstick travel, usually about -50 %

John,

Which one did you use? Any pictures?

Will you be at Donington on Saturday?

Maybe I can look at it then?

Salut

I think the Escort RS quickshift could fit both Lotus boxes. It looks like the standard item with a metal collar to move the pivot point up.

Graham Boulton of 5-speed 'box rebuilding renown, told me not to put a quickshift - he said the 5-speed baulk rings are easily snapped.

Sorry no photos of this, was a bit busy, and yes, should be at Donny on Saturday, the quickshift was a Ebay bargain for ?15 and it has a metal collar as Vernon says and takes quite a bit of getting used to as the throw is now tiny...but makes the gargantuan sloppy shift a thing of the past
