T9 Tail Housing Removal

Question -- how do you remove the tail housing on a T9 transmission?
I have removed the bolts holding to tail housing to the main case. However, I can't remove the housing because of interference of the shift arm, located at the end of the gear selector shaft, with the tail housing. I assume one has to remove the shift arm, but I don't see how to accomplish this.
Thanks, John

Hi John
There is a split pin that is driven through the shift arm right through the shift shaft. You should use a pin punch as it makes it easier but isn't nessessary if the punch is a good fit.

This Ebay listing

has the complete manual for the T9 transmission. I wouldn't start messing with the transmission without it.
