Cosworth YB Turbo Into Elan

What are you doing for a handbrake?
Really interesting photos, great work, its many magnitudes harder to work within existing parameters like the chassis, suspension etc like you are than just building a silhouette racer.
Yes, lightness. Me? Anal? Perish the thought
Working with the orignal chassis has been a challenge, but a fun challenge.

Guru (Devanagari ????) is a Sanskrit term for "teacher" or "master", particularly in Indian religions.

Looks like a hydraulic handbrake? If so, do you have an auxiliary mechanical handbrake rigged up for MOT's......... It's all looking very good BTW thanks for sharing the photos and the updates.
Kindest regards

Certainly is. Mechanical handbrake not required, as noted in the MOT manual:
"Hydraulic parking brakes as a sole means of operation are not acceptable on vehicles first used on or after 1 January 1968. However, they may be used to assist the application or release of a mechanical brake. "
My car is a 1967 model.
I have been studying the rules to see what can an can't be left off. For example, I only need 1 rear view mirror.
Adding lightness
As long as members are interested in progress I am happy to post.

OK, looking for advice/suggestions.
Haven't looked into fire suppression yet, but will need a system. As always weight is a consideration, but not at the expense of car or me
Any ideas? Also is there a preferred location for cylinder or can I position it anywhere?
Electric or manual?
Looking to protect engine bay, cockpit and boot.
