The plus 2 original seats lift up from the rear, rotating around the front pivot and so if you fit any kind of headrest you will hit the roof lining before allowing much access to the rear seats.
The alternative is to use recliners that will fold The backrest far enough forwards so a small person might step through the gap, the TF seats will do that.

this is not a problem, the X19 seats are much deeper, higher than the original, and it is a significant improvement
Having your legs actually resting on the seat is much better

I've got a pair of early MX5 seats as an interim, they're light and comfortable and look easy to fit. The high back MX5 seats are probably too tall, a shame,
I'll see how they go and then may look for a leather pair.
Never thought of TF, I'll certainly look at them too.

I made the sub-frames and they could be better because there isn't much fore aft movement. Also, the rear of the runners needed a plate each side to make them work which I might do differently but I think they are really comfy. Not great for a plus 2 I imagine because access to the rear could be challenging....
