Jon,
No, that's not me.
We did meet when you delivered a front screen that I purchased from you. You saw my +2 and I was fitting the EFI at the time of your visit.
Yes if you've any Q's fire away, on the forum or by PM.
Cheers

Guide prices are (excluding VAT)
? Base unit ?240 each including built in fuel rail (?480 a pair)
? Injectors ?74 each
? Throttle pot ?100 each
? 4 cylinder set up around ?876 (including Injectors and throttle pots)
Just out of interest...... I'm assuming that this is just the starting price (or would the ?876 be all you need ?)...
What else would you need & what sort of costs [I have little knowledge of fuel Injection, as you will probably guess]
electric fuel pump ?
replacement fuel line ?
some kind of regulation for fuel pressure
sensors ? [airflow ? temperature ? Engine Timing]
a control unit ?
additional wiring ?

Is this a new thing? or a new thing to Jenvy?
We have a Customer who has a similar thing done on a Dcoe fitted to his Mini, i have a picture of it at work i'll have to dig out..... what some one had done was machined the bottom of the float chamber out and welded in two Injector bosses, so from the top it looks like a tatty Weber Dcoe. I asked the owner 10ish years ago and he said it was a kit he bought from Mini Spares.
All that said it's the only one i've seen but that may be the point that it's not obvious.

Typical cost for FI is ?2,500 if you use proprietary parts and fit yourself - Jenveys etc. You need (I may have missed some bits):
Throttle bodies
Fuel Rail
Linkage
Injectors
Air Horns (I will use my old ones)
Throttle position sensor
ECU - DTA, Omex or similar
Temperature sensors - air and water
Lambda sensor and exhaust insert (optional but I'm doing it)
Loom
Trigger wheel, bracket and pick up
Coil pack
Dizzy blanking plate
Feed and return pipes to tank
FI tank or external swirl pot (I had a tank made by Andy Wiltshire)
High pressure pump and pipes
Fuel pressure regulator
There's a lot to it but I'm convinced it's the way to go
Jon
John - I remember now, Thirsk - will PM you!

Jon,
There's one thing that I can't see on your list and it's the key to the whole thing, is the mapping.
Is this a new thing? or a new thing to Jenvy?
No they've been around for years and there are other maufacturers. But IMHO they are well made and from my experiance they stay in tune for years without touching them. What's more they are British.
http://www.jenvey.co.uk/about-us
Edit, well the fitting of the injectors inside a Weber is new and something that a few have be trying to do just to avoid it looking as if it's EFI'ed.
I should point out when I converted my car I went the same way as Jon is proposing (ie, all new kit). JohnC went the second hand bike TB way and as he has shown, that too can produce good results. It just depends on how much you want to spend and how much you can do for yourself.
Fitting EFI is not cheap but it transforms the twink into either, a daily driver or one that can be left for 6 weeks and you know it will still start (assuming the battery is OK).
Cheers

If I may include myself in the realms of EFI twinks.
I've had mine done for a few years now. Fantastic conversion and very fuel efficient.
Jenvey/emerald mostly sourced from Dave at emerald. Flat torque curve too. I just want to fit a bigger air filter system and ram pipes to help smooth the airflow.
Highly recommended in my opinion

Looks like a neat installation, just wondering where the fuel return line and pressure regulator are attached ?
It does not seem the top cover can be replaced by a real Weber ?

The really good drivers have the bugs on the side windows (cit. Walter R?hrl)
