Dear All
After someone posted the aerodynamic A-frame panels,I vowed to get my tinsnips out and have a go.....mission accomplished and below..
forgive the rust but it gets used
also thought about the amount of road muck thrown up by the tyre onto the calipers/handbrake mechanism and had a go at that as well..
I'll let you know
John

Keep it up John, I've got a Honda S2000 engine and box sitting under my bench if you want to go the whole hog.
Kindest regards

I would take you up on that but how would I get the hot exhaust gasses through the plenum without major explosion risk ?

Correct, the story goes....in the early days I was enjoying spirited driving but was unable to practice " cadence breaking" ( still can't ) when a sharp bend appeared before me,not having the confidence to take the bend at the speed I was doing hit the brakes, wheels locked, slid across the road into a grass verge..thinking cap on,looking around ,found a Renault in the scrapyard and all the kind man wanted was ?50 for any bits I fancied,a few hours later had a pile of Bosch ABS bits...after a couple of days tinkering ( re-plumbed the brake lines, mounted the sensors, figured out a wiring diagram ,etc.etc.etc) and now have a car that stops as good as she goes....

and only the smallest dribble of mud ventured towards the calipers etc

John, It looks like your rig works at least as good or better than the folded steel contraption that came from the factory. I've toyed with the idea of recreating the originals in alloy but that's quite a bit more work to accomplish the same results. Yours must be a fraction of the original weight as well. Nicely done.
