Jay Leno's Headlight Pods

Hi All.
If you look at update 11 of the Elan resto, at 2:30 you'll see the front of the car with moulded in headlight pods like an E-type or a 60s Ferrari. Every 26R I've ever seen only had the vertical part to which the headlight was mounted, the bottom being left open (to save weight I suppose).

Does anyone have any idea whom Jay got these pieces from ? If Jim Hall had made them up I think it would have been mentioned in one of the other vids. Thanks.
