Some recent photographs of the Elan.
The car was restored by a Garage owner and his Son over a number of years and completed in 2009.The restoration included a genuine Lotus galvanized chassis, full mechanical and bodywork restoration. The work was carried out to a very high standard, From 2013 the car has been part of the restorers car collection and has covered less than 5000 miles since restoration.
I have recommissioned the car, with a brake system overhaul, fuel tank removed and cleaned, Strombergs rebuilt, oil and coolant systems flushed. Front suspension dampers replaced with TTR adjustable units and springs new trunnion bushes. New battery etc.
The car was rebuilt to its original specification and apart from the following items, remains as built. Original electric rad fan replaced with modern alternative and control. Electronic ignition. Mechanical fuel pump replaced with Facet elect pump and filter in boot. Stainless exhaust system. Front suspension dampers and springs. The paintwork from 2009 is excellent and the general condition of the car shows the high standard of the original restoration.
Due to change of plans, I now intend to sell the car and am asking for offers around £36000.
