1967 Lotus Elan SE FHC

Mechanically refurbed and running. Engine has 4 new pistons supplied by SJ Sportscars, £1300 worth of head work, new timing chain, new Burton modular waterpump conversion, new main seal, crank seal and gaskets. Car is converted to negative earth and has a new Burton Alternator and mounting kit and a new Aldon Ignitor electronic ignition.

Fitted
New wiring loom. New 3 part clutch with braided hose and remote bleed kit. New discs, pads and braided hoses all round. New handbrake cable and adjustable handbrake rods. New Superflex polyurethane suspension bushes all round. New steering column bushes, ball joints and track rod ends. New Tony Thompson drive shaft conversion. New Tony Thompson rear shocks and tubes. New wheel bearings all round. New Lotacones. Refurbished trunions. New braided fuel hoses and delivery line. New fuel pump

Refurbished original parts either fitted or supplied for return to originality include:
Tacho, negative earth converted (Speedy Cables)
Twin 40 DCOE's (Weber Carb Reconditioning Services)
Clutch master and slave (PastParts)
Brake master. (Past Parts)
Servo. (Past Parts)
Radiator (Harts Radiators)
All four calipers (Classic Car Automotive)
Dynamo and control box (Broadway Electrical Services)

New parts supplied, but not fitted
Sue Miller airbox kit, full Double S exhaust, aluminium fuel tank, sender, filler cap assembly, front screen and rubbers, door rubbers, dashboard, under dash trim, windscreen pillar trim, glove box, center console, Springall Steering Wheel and hornpush (replica of S3 original), crashpad.

Various parts of original trim and original rear windscreen. Electric windows fitted and working.

The body has not been off the chassis during my ownership and needs a full paint, some glasswork to boot floor and total re-trim. Car is booked in with a recognised body work shop who advertises in Club Lotus News for June (the place in the queue should be transferable on request), but this project might suit someone who would like to paint and trim the car themselves.
Car is garaged and I have a genuine reason for sale.
I have bills for £18,500. There is a full photographic record of the work done so far.
Sensible offers please.
Pete

Hi Pete
Ref your Elan - before I start asking questions, what part of the country are you in?
