Hello everyone! I have 2 Elan projects so I decided to sell one of them. Please read carefully and do not send me messages through this site please. Email is the key to getting in touch with me quickly or text. The car I am selling is a restoration project and it is in pieces. The frame and suspension arms have been restored and painted. The body is in rough shape and will need to be restored. The car appears to be complete but I cannot make any promises on it being 100% complete. The car is missing the seats and maybe some small parts. This car is a Weber head car with sliding windows so it does not have the window frames on it. Chassis number: 26/4166, Body number 3801. Asking 11,200.00 or best offer. Pics are available through email. Email is : Brandonsan71 at gmail dot com or you can call me @ 443-226-five nine four zero. Car is located in Maryland USA,

You will likely have more interest if you add pictures and more details/history - and if you entertain discussion and questions in this thread rather than requiring off-site communication. As written, the advert can be perceived as similar to scam adverts. I'm not accusing you of that, just saying it has a tone that would turn me off if I was "in the market".

'He obviously edited the first post to lower the price... as indicated by:'
Nothing is 'obvious' at all in this advert. I thought exactly as Ted did, and the advert has been edited 4 times, so if the price was edited once, what else was edited? Or has the price been edited 4 times.................obvious isn't it!
There is a saying in sales, 'If you can't sell it, put the price up, and it will sell'. I have proved that saying many times over the years, but I doubt it will apply here.
