1970 Lotus Elan project. Located in Central Ohio
I traded a Morgan 30 years ago and I received this partial disassembled Elan as part of the deal. I intended to eventually restore the car but I started racing vintage Porsches and well the time just went by......
SN 45 XXXX is shown on the VIN plate and on the clean Ohio title in my name.
Title shows mileage as 26669 as true mileage. Odometer shows that same mileage.
When I got the car it was partially disassembled by a previous owner. There are bags with tagged parts inside for reassembly
There are some missing parts notably the steering column and the radiator along with any shrouding in the front of the car.
The car has been stored in a heated storage area for 30 years.
The paint which appears to be the original color is code L01 which indicates British Racing Green. There are cracks evident and the paint is dull and cracked.
The engine is the original engine as evidenced by the number plate and the stamped number on the engine block. While the car was in storage the cylinders were filled with oil above the pistons to preserve the block and pistons.
The original wheels and spare are mounted on the car with pins and a center lock system.
The dash is out and the wiring is tagged
I am getting ready to list this on BaT but I thought I might offer it here first.
I have 100+ photos that show the car in the current condition
$7,500.00 OBO
Thanks for looking
