Three owners from new. The second owner, who is a friend, had this Elan for 35 years. I have owned it for over 7 years.
Very well maintained. An excellent car that drives nice.

Bodywork and paint done by SMS Spalding.

Recent engine refresh which included new forged QED pistons, new water pump, timing chain etc.
Big valve cylinder head fitted with QED 420 cams and matched valve springs.
Adjustable vernier cam timing.

Fitted with 2D mapped ignition system.

Twin 40 DCOE Weber carburettors and Filter King.

Big bore exhaust manifold. Stainless system.

Alloy Coolex full width radiator and electric fan.

Clivey boys thermostat housing filler.

Four Speed Close ratio gearbox.
3.54 Differential new seals and bearing fitted and diff strengthener.
Sue Miller CV kit fitted to the rear driveshafts.

Spyder space frame chassis and wishbones

Fitted with Tony Thompson front adjustable fast dampers and springs

Rear suspension fitted with original type Chapman type18 struts and Koni adjustable inserts.

All suspension has been re-bushed over the last few years.
SS Braided Brake hoses.

Running on Tech Del Alloy Minilite wheels just had two new rear tyres.

Andy Wiltshire alloy fuel tank fitted with electric fuel pump.
Lots of history.
Located in South Yorkshire.

That is excellent value for money...as I was reading the details I was totting up the value and had added another 5-8k ! There's about 20k of bodywork, paint, parts and engine work alone.
I will bet that some dealers will be calling you.

Thanks for the comments about the Elan it was Neil and Linda’s Plus 2 and they owned for 35 years before I bought it in 2013.

I have accepted a good offer on the car by someone who sold one and regretted doing so.
