SOLD SOLS SOLD SOLDI bought this S4 DHC late last year with the intention of carrying out a full rebuild using a Spyder chassis and Zetec motor. But....
I consider this car to be too original to do such a thing to it
I am the third custodian of this car the second owner actually built it for the first owner and about 35 years ago bought it from the first owner. It has since sat in a green house unloved for 1/3 of a century (Yes 33 years)
The Paint work is terrible and flaking off.
It has had a mid front some time early in its life (So the front end was painted) Then a bit later had a repaint in a slightly lighter green.
I have rubbed it back in a couple of places to check the colours and number of coats
The engine turns over and raises goods oil pressure (New pump fitted as the old one was not very nice!!!!)
Chassis is lovely apart from the usual bottom of the front turrets
Calipers have been removed and fully refurbished at Classicar Automotive.
Carbs removed to start cleaning (Had engine running on easy start but carbs need refurbishing no surprise after the 33 years.)
Off side door lock and handle removed to gain access as they where a little stiff after not being used
Its all there and well worth the effort to return it to its former glory.
I don't have the heritage certificate from Lotus but chatting to Andy Graham prior to purchase confirmed the engine number, body number and colour on the chassis plate are all as would be expected
I am not looking to give it away and if it doesn't sell will happily carry out the restoration, but if I can cover the costs so far I will let it go
Offers over SOLD(no less please)
Happy to answer any questions and take any pictures you require
Car located East of Hull and viewing is available using social distancing etc etc
Thanks for looking
Dave

It's really well priced, and it would fly away from Hull in normal times.
To be fair they drive really nicely with Stromberg's
