i have decided to sell my +2 as many of you will know the car came to me with a ford 1500 cortina engine.
after a fruitless search for twin cam i decided to fit a 1.8 Zetec.
the engine came from a guy who raced westfields so is race spec.
it has bike carbs and mega electronic mappable ignition and pulls really well.
i changed the trunnion and king pin set up for the ball joint set up used by the triumph guys, i still have all the original kit.
i also fitted solid driveshafts, and i have changed the heater for a kit car job. this gave me a lot more room behind the dash for the radio.
i had a new headlining fitted and ive had the front seats recovered.
i still have the old driveshafts and donuts.
i've taken the car as far as i want to, its done just over a 1000 miles since i put it back on the road.
i have lots of bills covering the conversion. the car had a new Lotus chassis fitted by a previous owner.
