Built 72, first reg early 73, L plate but historic tax status. Genuine type 45 DHC Sprint in classic red over white gold leaf colours, matching numbers, last model with ignition switch on steering column , del'orto carbs etc.
Regrettably for sale to placate wife following acquistion of another Lotus....Fully rebuilt a few years ago on a Spyder chassis with full side protection bars hidden in the sills/footwells plus Spyder roll over bar-easily removed if not to your taste. Previous owner (ten years prior to me) entrusted car to Mick Miller for regular servicing as well as full engine rebuild 5,000miles ago (car leads a pampered life...) solid drive shaft conversion. Professional body restoration several years ago ,panel fit of doors etc superb. Still super smart, not quite concours. Large history file inc mots back to early 80's.
Super driving Sprint which handles fantastically as a result of stiff Spyder chassis set up,completely reliable. Recent works include front suspension rebuild plus brake overhaul inc new correct Girling Servo and Goodrich hoses.
