lotus elan +2 project x2

bought these a few weeks ago off here and have since got a new job and subsequently will not have time to rebuild them as orginally intended.

this is perfect for someone looking to build an elan as there are more than enough parts to build two cars.

here is the text from the orginal add:-


LOTUS ELAN PLUS 2 (+2) - 2 rolling chassis?s 2 body-shells, engine, interiors, numerous other parts - for SALE

Some of the main lotus Elan +2 items that I have are outlined below:

-Rolling chassis #1 + wheels, transmission, etc - 90% complete - this is a new chassis as of 18 years ago and has never been driven / on the road - With body shell #1 and a great deal of interior fittings/seats/carpets/dash/gearstick/steering wheel/steering column/speakers etc

-rolling chassis #2 + wheels, transmission etc - With body shell #2 - red - good condition, needs some minor touch-ups and a re-spray

-Lotus elan +2 twin weber / twin cam 1600cc engine - this was rebuilt recently and was running

-2 spare weber carbs, spare camshafts and other engine parts etc

-2 bonnets

-3 doors

-2 boot lids

-Popup headlight set

-1 full set of interior seats, fittings, consol, parcel shelf, door panels etc

-A set plus spares of chrome skirting's, bumpers, door window units

-Several boxes with dozens of gauges, fan outlets, switches, dash instruments etc

-Several boxes with lots of light housings, light units etc

-Several boxes with lots of mechanical parts from diff's, fans, brake servos, springs, CV joints, pedal brake units, spare suspension arms, wishbones etc - some of these can be seen in the photos

-Several boxes with of finishing parts from chrome grills, vents to badges, interior light fittings, 4 steering wheels etc

-Boxes with numerous assorted items

-V5 registration document and vin plate for one car (other would have to be reregistered)

seems a shame to give up on these but it will make someone a good project.
