1965 Lotus Elan S2 SOLD

Well I thought I had this car sold but the buyer backed out when I required a deposit. Somehow he decided he couldn?t really afford it.

Never the less, I?m still driving it on local back roads and enjoying the S2 until the right buyer comes along.

My friend Chris (who owns an Elan S3) came over to drive my S2. Great day in Princeton for back road sports car driving! He commented how the original suspension set up really allows this car to be driven very nicely on any road condition.

I finally installed the period radio into the dash. The black blank plate always bothered me so I installed the (non-functioning) radio. I think it looks much better than the black blank.

It was 92 degrees here in Princeton today. In October! Fall leaf colors and hot weather. Perfect day for a top down sports car drive

Couple of interested individuals in buying the S2. I know what will happen, one of them will pull the trigger and the others will be upset they waited too long (recently one person drove a long way to see it and go for a test drive but then said they couldn't afford it. What the heck...?that makes three people who have done that and 2 that are waiting to sell a car before being able to buy).

Timing is everything. One guy from NC who wanted it but didn?t make a deposit. Three guys all responded to my eBay ad this week and I took them in order of communication. The first guy came to see the Elan today and bought it. Long time Lotus enthusiast who regretting selling his last Elan. He?s keeping this one.
