2nd chap after lots of chatting again only via email.. ended up saying he was advised that the Elan wasn't worth much as it didn't have a Lotus Chassis (Currently fitted with a Spyder) and the interior wasn't Std and was too much work!

What's up with these guys?

Car guy here - bought this car today and look forward to making some new friends on this board :-)

Enrico, thanks again for a good and painless deal - we will keep in touch as discussed!

I'll upload some pics of the day shortly - suffice to say having bled the brakes and picked up a battery (oh and booked an MoT!) I drove her the last 15 miles home :-)
