How is it a race engine if it has a standard crank? Seller states estimated power output of 130 bhp. You are not going to win many races with that sort of output. Way overpriced as you suggest Ralph, and you would be buying a pig in a poke for large $$$$$

Its a real messed up engine build specification and if its only 130hp out of 1640cc that reinforces it.

The cams dont match the crank rev capability, money was waisted on "steel rods" and many other issues will exist I suspect. Its probably worth about A$5000 assuming it has a usable head and block as most of the rest probably needs replacement to build a sensible road or race engine. The block may not even be usable as its bored to 85mm and most blocks have too thin walls at that bore.

Sounds like a right "bitza".
Was probably in a Cortina or an Escort, seeing as the gearbox shown is a single-rail.
