Kelsport, TTR are obvious suppliers. I’d think twice about used mag rims personally.

I believe the concern is mag wheels can corrode from the inside without visible indications. The wheel can appear perfectly fine but may have flaws.

Like anything you buy used, the new owner needs to be sure of what they are buying.

I'd love to have a set or two of mag wheel for my race Elan, but the cost of new is prohibitive for my budget. I went with racing Panasports.

New wheels available from two providers mentioned
Magnesium is brittle and ages. I’d not use wheels with unknown history, especially if for race car. A normal alloy wheel less or no magnesium content is less fragile and bend rather than cracking
Both above providers can supply mag or alloy versions of the wheel.
I periodically have my magnesium race wheels tested for cracks.
Hope this helps.

I suppose you're having them magnafluxed (rather than Xrayed):did you ever have some defect detected, or even experienced a catastrophic failure (if so would you comment on the circumstances: e.g. on a impact stress like a curb or out of the blue, would there be warnings like not holding pressure ...)? thank you (ps: I do have some used magnesium wheels and am trying to devise the best use I can have for them)
