I've read your ad but it doesn't mention anything about the car body interior and mechanical parts? What condition are they all in please?

Hi Roy,

Just going back over what you have written about this car in your previous posts, it occurred to me that the unconfirmed rumour this was the October 1972 Earls Court Motor Show car was not quite correct. This is due to the production of the car having taken place in January 1973, with an invoice date of mid Jan.

I therefore wonder if it is more likely that your car was the tawny over white FHC exhibited at the January 1973 International Racing Car Show held in London's Olympia? A photo is attached of the car at the event.

Hi Tim,
You are of course correct with what you say. However, this is not my Sprint 5 thought to be the 1972 Earls Court show car,but another car that I bought from a member here on Lotuselan.net, for my final restoration. The Sprint 5 is actually an October 72 car,so therefore would fit the criteria for being the show car.It is also lhd which most of the Sprint 5's were,as they were generally for export.I hope to have the restoration of the Sprint 5 finished around Xmas/new year, and will post some photos of the car complete at that time. For the moment here are some photo's of the car nearing completion.
Kind regards,
Roy.

Rdracer,
May I respectfully suggest that you clarify the advert for the sale of your car. I think you might have a better chance of selling if you do..
I have read and re-read the advert and thread at least haf a dozen times and I am still confused as to what you are actually selling and I strongly suspect others may be too.
Are you selling a car that will be completed soon? Is completed?..Or is the car still in pieces and dismantled? Is it yellow ? Or is it red/white?

Good Luck with the sale. :D

Roy's car for sale is the yellow one and it's RHD for UK driving.
Plus it's in Scotland so what are you waiting for Christmas it's very close.

Hi There,
Just to confirm,it is the Yellow Sprint fhc that is for sale, not the dhc which is red/white.The car requires full restoration, apart from the chassis and diff, which is already done.If interested,pm me for detail.
Apologies for any confusion.
Roy.
