Thank you, Ian, for posting. Assuming this 1600's dash is original, I was surprised to see the bezels for the four toggle switches to being hexagonal instead of round. Maybe hexagonal was the shape used for all early Elans, the 1600 (S1) variants? My 1600 has a mixed use of hexagonal and round; likely a PO change at time of servicing a switch. Anyone else with an 1600 have similar hexagonal bezels for securing their switches?

The car has clearly had some mods along the way . . .
The key parts all seem to be good though.

Don't know why it is the way it is listed, but put a 2 on the front end to make a 26 and it would be legit. What is listed on the title and whether that can be matched to the number stamped in the frame will be interesting.

Head number matches the engine number and the body number seems to be correct too.
I think someone, anyone fessing up?, got a pretty fair deal.

My S1 is a bit earlier than this one and has the hex switch rings, I believe. I think that was standard on the early cars. This would be about the 600th car made, would it not?
