Project car for sale 1971 S4 Coupe (Cheshire UK)

PostPost by: Elanman99 » Tue Sep 27, 2022 9:10 pm

Have owned this for too many years and have now come to the conclusion that I will never get round to rebuilding it.

It is currently almost completely dismantled with most of it in boxes. What is assembled is mostly only loosely put together so that it can be wheeled around. It originally came as the (loosely assembled) rolling chassis and suspension, The body was dropped on so it could be put on a trailer. As a kit it is largely complete but many of the items need a lot of cleaning up and restoration, the bodyshell has been stripped of paint.

Engine has Strombergs but there is a second twincam head with Webers (dismantled) included. I have no knowledge of the engine condition so that will need stripping and rebuilding anyway.

Car is SORN'd has a Spyder chassis, Chapman signed steering wheel is present. Dash has been stripped and needs re-veneering.

Can provide lots more pictures and info, just PM me

A price indication would probably help with enquiries.

Is there a possibility it could be a sprint? Post up the chassis no. I’m sure Tim will be along to confirm

No mention of sprint on the V5, also its not the original chassis so number not relevant as this has Spyder 'sub frame'
Price is in circa £14000

I have not been able to access the bodyshell since last post but will look for moulded in number tomorrow afternoon.
'VIN-Chassis-Frame' number shown on V5C is 36/9175
Reg number is RBV851J
First reg 12/5/1971
