Elan +2S Hillclimb/Sprint race car 1969
Well know Lotus Elan +2S, been on the hillclimb scene for over 20 years, recently re-commissioned. Currently prepared for hillclimbs / sprints, but could be made eligible for ‘Swinging Sixties’ or ‘Historic Road Sports’ race series.
JS Motorsport engine, steel crank, lightweight flywheel, twin plate sintered clutch, concentric slave cylinder, 45DCOE Webers, dry sumped, aluminium bellhousing, new SAS cylinder head.
Straight cut gearbox, 3.9 ratio rear axle
Full roll cage, including side intrusion bars
Adjustable dampers front and rear
Rose jointed rear wishbones and upper front wishbones
CV jointed driveshafts
New foam filled 30 litre fuel tank, new Powerlite lithium race battery, new high torque starter motor.
Sits on set of 14” minilites, spare set of 13” minilites
Weight 720kgs

Sort of crazy, there’s a Townie in the UK. Wow, very cool.
To me, about the best/nicest USA built thing ever. And fairly rare.
I am guessing its LHD, and what engine trans etc please? Or pm not to mess up your sale ad of my other favourite car in beautiful fast-red.

I only have three small issues with this...
Shifting the wheel to "my side"
Being able to drive it as it deserves
Paying for it.
I have long touted the Plus 2 as the perfect Elan and this car simply underscores it.
I will check the Lotto (they should called it Looto, but I digress) tonight and if successful
Perfect Plus 2 and worth every penny
