I now have the car titled in New York State. It is a Right Hand Drive Elan Sprint.
In need of restoration. Motor is original to the the car with the number matching verified by Andy Graham, the Lotus archivist. Andy has verified this as the 40th car from the end of Sprint production.
Car has a modified front end valence and a spoiler on the back. Dont really know the condition of the frame where it splits in the back but it appears to have some rust on it. Car has a roll bar and the interior is nice and the dash is really great for a 40 plus year old car. Car is located in Buffalo NY.
Dont really know much more about the car or the condition of the motor. It has sat in storage for the past 2 years.

Hi all,
Car has been sold and is headed back to the continent. If the person who bought it wants to chime in, that is up to that person.

On another note, I have a friend that is looking for a Left Hand Drive Lotus Elise Series 1. 1996 or 1997 sp it is 25 years old to import into the USA. Of course if it is 1997, we would have to wait till January to ship it over.
