1966 S2 SE elan for sale

Soooo, originally my daily driver (search my earlier posts) but sadly little used in the past few years hence reluctantly offering for sale

Completely rebuilt by my friend and previous owner Vaughan as a quick road car.

basic specs

Painted in Scottish racing blue with matching light weight hardtop
1700cc engine with QED420 cams
softtop and tonneau
26R style seats
roll bar
26R style headlights
5 peg knock on wheels
4 x 26R knock on wheels with new tyres
4 x Minilite knock on wheels with tyres
fitted with a brm cam cover but happy to provide the original if you prefer
fitted with 2 x seat harnesses
new radiator
electric fan
all new (well 5 years ago) brake lines, fuel lines etc
solid rear drive shafts

original items included with sale include
original short engine (block, crank, cams, rods, pistons, sump - basically all bar head)
bolt on hubs
correct S2 tail lights
tail light brackets to hold tray for boot
original and working pop up headlights
knock on wheel tool
original airbox
original donuts and driveshafts

Great fun car to drive, quick and light and plenty of go. Never raced but could be

I'm sad to see you putting the car up for sale, but know its been the most used and enjoyed Elan in Australia. Good luck and to whoever buys this car you will enjoy it.

Gordon missed a few items, went i rebuilt the car it had a new un galvanised chassis, new wiring harness, dashboard, +2 calipers and disks with dual circuit 11/16" master cylinder with remote reservoirs, stainless extractors (copy of FIA).

I am looking for the chrome trim pieces on each side of the windows as shown here in your 2nd photo.

I know the car, a few years ago Gordon kindly took me for a ride in it. The car would make a fabulous addition to any collection and if I didn't already have an S2 I would be sorely tempted.

HI the stainless trims either side of the glass are available form TTR and Type 26 Register amongst others I'm sure. You will need to shape them to fit carefully

Note originally a uk delivered car so should be able to avoid vat if importing to the uk
