1972 RHD Elan Sprint FHC for sale (France) now ?31000

PostPost by: zimzum » Mon Aug 21, 2017 6:25 am

Hello,

I need to sell 2 cars to buy my dream car...
That is why I reluctantly need to sell my Elan.

1972 Lotus Elan Sprint
RHD, located in France (Paris)
This car was originally yellow (restauration with new chassis in 1989).
No rust!

Spyder chassis, no rust at all
Mick Miller CV drive shafts conversion
TTR suspension
Original steel wheels
Original seats
Electric fuel pump
Electonic ignition
Weber 40 DCOE carbs
Improved cooling circuit with large ducted radiator and 2 fans
Brake discs new
Safety Devices Roll bar with side bars
4-2-1 exhaust manifold
New stainless muffler (2 exits)
New black headlining

Paintjob (1989) is good, some little cracks and stonechips, but far from needing a new paintjob.

I have 2 big files of invoices from around 1984, plus some photos of the paintwork from 1989.

Some cracks on the dashboard lacquer, but still in good condition
Old 155 tires
Oil on engine, gearbox and diff
Some carb adjustments to be done (some hesitations at low rpm, and backfires when cold)

Asking for ?31000

Photobucket was free for referring to your images stored there but displayed on other websites (3rd party) like this forum.

But now Photobucket want to charge for that service.

Regrettably this is the 'cash model' for the Internet i.e. start a free service, rope in the punters then later on start charging for the service.

For me it would be a Maserati Merak SS, though I expect I'd have to have a Lotus as well... :D

Nice car!! Some after market items I would wonder about; but probably just can't find oem's anymore. Best of luck; but what car would ever be better than an elan? These cars are awesome!!!!!!! Really! And driving around France, I'm jealous

Yep, sounds like an Elan. Except, why is your steering wheel on the wrong side?
