It has passed it's MOT today with flying colours .
The paint work is best described as reasonable with stress marks as you'll see in the photographs.
I would describe the car as class B- or C+.
I guess a picture tells a thousand words, I'll let you decide what you think of her.
New
Facet electric fuel pump
Oil pump
AccuSpark 45Amp alternator
AccuSpark in cap electronic ignition
Have fitted a Porsche 928 headlamp lift motor which works very nicely, even if I say so myself
I have reconditioned the wiper motor(see photo)
Carbs serviced, synchronised
Reconditioned the brake callipers
Recored radiator with 3 rows instead of 2. Temp stays at 80 celsius all day every day
Rear screen seal and filler strip
Air Horns and compressor
All rear suspension bushes and anti roll bar bushes have been replaced
I can't attest to the milage as the speedo doesn't work properly.
?12500 ONO
Cheers Richard

Hi Vince
The car is a genuine 130S/5 as I'm aware. I have a very old invoice for the car which states that it's a 130S/5
The car came with the old 130S/5 badges but were too damaged to use.
On the Elan registry it's 10 chassis numbers from the last one on there and think I'm right in assuming that all of the last ones were 130S/5's
Also if you look at centre console, you'll see that it's a 5 speed console rather than the 4 speed console
which is subtly different than the 5 speed around where the gaiter sits
The Chassis is original but has red oxide paint then chassis black over that.
I can't attest to the milage as the speedo doesn't work properly. I'll change the advert to reflect this.
I changed the head gasket early on and found the bores to be in very good order.
The valves seats weren't good but a quick lap in with some paste made them good again.
I'm using redex at the moment just as a precaution.
Cheers Rich
